I thought of a twist the other day and wanted to share it with you.
Every season in the second week (sometimes even in the first week) people start talking about who they "HAVE" to get rid of before jury. They want to be sure this person or that person isn't there for whatever reason. In an effort to throw cold water on this scheme by the hg's, what if people had to "compete for jury" after they are evicted. This would not be shared with the hg's right away either so they could plan against it. This is not to get back into the house to play (I know you HATE that option Ctown), this is just to be a part of the jury.
They could have the eviction as normal for the first couple of weeks. Put those 2 people in sequester and then on week 3, the evictee has to compete against the first and second evictee for someone to win the right to the jury house. The winner in that week goes to the jury house (yes, very, very long summer for them, but too bad) and the other 2 wait in the wings for the following evictee.
Once they get down to 11 people in the house and they are all expecting Julie to make an announcement that everyone has made jury, that is when she could lower the boom and tell them that normally she would be making that announcement, but this season you also have to win your way to the jury house which means none of them will know who has survived and who has went home.

Not a bad suggestion, but the one problem with that would be that it takes the jury managemnt aspect out of the game. Sure, they won't know that so they may end up kissing the wrong ass and the people who win their way onto jury but were evicted early are more likely to be bitter jurors, not to mention the fact they will miss so much of the game that they have nothing to base their decisions on. Sure, you could let them see some "highlights" from each episode, but can you really trust production to not give them an edit they want to make sure their favorite wins?
I actually think the jury is too large as it is and should really be cut down to 7 people.
If they really want to fuck with them. Get rid of the jury being the seasons HG's and make the jury consist of HG's from previous seasons and put them in the jury house from the very start of the season until the very end. They still need to be sequestered so they can't be swayed by social media and shit. They could even start having a small jury segment on the show starting with the episode after the first eviction. If something like this were to happen, it would suck for the HG's the first year that only want to "make jury" but it will make all future HG's think twice about just going there to make jury.
Problem with that scenario though, is the former HG's would want too much money and production are a bunch of cheap fucks and wouldn't pony up for it

With the former HG jury idea, give them access to the live feeds and access to the episodes (this is highely unlikely to get both, most likely is just episodes so production can give the edit they want), but giving total access to both with no access to social media would be ideal.
Hell even make it former winners. If this is something they want to do moving forward, play the long game and start putting it in their contract during the season that they may be obligated to serve on future juries.

I guess it would depend on who the former hg's were because there are some people who wouldn't recognize good gameplay if it jumped up and slapped them in the face.
I do agree that not knowing who was in the jury does make it more difficult for jury management, but it also makes it impossible for people to tailor make their jury as well.
Maybe they should have a zoom connection for the nominations, veto ceremonies and eviction speeches? I know they send that DVD which is basically the episode version of things, but if they were seeing the unedited version of those things, like the speeches we don't always see when people want a veto used or whatever, it could be very enlightening. In Survivor they let the jury sit there and watch the tribal council which sometimes gives them very valuable information. The jury wouldn't be able to talk to them, just watch it.
Oh well we don't have to worry about it because production at BB never seems to want to try anything new unless it is lame, easily manipulated and caters to their favorites every season.

Ideally you would want former HG's that actually care about the game. Players like Dan, Ian, Evel Dick etc. But those people cannot be manipulated so production wouldn't want them, they'd want people who will do what they are told. People like Cody Califiore, Josh, Paul and it would be a joke
