Upcoming HoH comp

I never proposed anything like that and it does sound like something that could work well. The problem is that it sounds like fan fiction which means production would never use something like that unless they figured out a way that they could use it to manipulate the game.

That is easily done by the comps they choose to get it there just like everything else they do. Anyway, I just thought I would throw it out there.

Did you get to hear that weird sound in the house or are you not home to listen?

No idea what the comp will be, but this is the way I would handle things moving forward. Do NOT evict Cory, evict America instead. Then right before the HoH comp is to begin have someone say to Cory "Wow, I just realized America and Cameron will be spending a week alone in jury! Crazy" And get his ass flustered heading into the comp

Funny you should mention that because Cory himself already mentioned it today! I don't remember if he was talking to Matt or Jag or both, but he said that America wants him to stay and her to go. Then he said I think she is serious so we will just have to send her to Cameron or something of that nature. I thought it was a very weird comment to make, but sometimes Cory's attempt at humor falls really flat! That being said, it might get inside his head.

Actually, now that I think about it. Doing something like that could backfire. Cory never really wanted a showmance. Look how long it took him just to kiss her. And that was only because she kept pressuring him into it (Could you imagine the uproar if he asked if he could kiss her, she said no and he kept pushing? Social media would blow up)

"Breaking up" now would probably be in the best interest for both of them as this showmance has zero chance of lasting outside the house. I think both of them are only in a showmance to check off a box of BB experiences

I said that about Kyle and Alyssa too. He resisted at first, but she kept pushing him. He wasn't COMPLETELY innocent and would send mixed signals, but she still was the one really pushing herself on him and barely a peep on social media. Of course the racial stuff that came up washed all of that away from everyone's memory, but it still happened.

I think they will date for a bit outside the house, but heading straight to friends zone for sure. Right now they both think they have really intense feelings, but that will happen when you spend more than 70 days together, most of it laying in bed together.

Looks like production has decided to either have the comp in "the basement" or at that other site they had the veto comp because they still had the yard last night (I haven't checked this morning). I have said for a long time they needed to try to hide the comps from the hg's better because they know if the yard closes early in the week, it will more than likely be a physical type or endurance comp and things like that. If they would start having all the comps off-site this would keep them from figuring out what to expect each week, including when it might be a double eviction which requires more setup.

I really wanted this to be the slip n slide, but I am assuming we would have heard something from the narrator about watching the HOH on the feeds or something. Now I am afraid that you are right about them having the slip n slide off the feeds and that will really piss me off. Not that production cares what the live feeders think.

I just don't see them doing a quick mental comp this week and then do a double eviction next week (assuming they do it then), so it almost HAS to be some sort of physical thing, but I guess we will see.

They have the luxury of having the room for offsite challenges this year die to the writers strike since it shut production down for all of the shows they produce. They really should have utilized that more this year but they didn't.

I honestly have no idea what the comp is going to be, I just don't think it will be something that we get to see play out either live or on the feeds. It could very well be something like McGyver themed veto they did way back in season 18. You remember the one where it was obvious Cory had an earpiece in and they were feeding him where to go. That is one of them that is both mental and physical.

I still don't think slip and slide will be happening this year and they (production) consider that stupid football foot sweat one to be it's equivalent. It is funny that every week the HG's are certain this is the week slip and slide is coming

Well you could be right about the slip n slide. I just read on the updates that Felicia said slip n slide is off the table this year. I didn't listen to it, so not sure if she was just spit-balling like she does or if she possibly asked about it from the physical aspect of it for HER and they told her that. If that actually was the reason they didn't have it, because of Cirie and Felicia being in the house, I call BULLSHIT. If you sign up for the damn show, you sign up for ALL of it. If you choose to sit out, then fine, but it should not dictate which comps they do or don't have.

It could be the McGyver thing. And I still don't believe they told him instructions through an earpiece because that kind of shit would have hit social media by now. I know they sign NDA's and such, but something like that would leak out somehow (remember they also have staff in there that come and go who could leak as well. Do I believe they manipulate shit and do particular comps at particular times or plant seeds in the heads of the hg's to change up the narrative, of course, but not a blatant thing like telling him where to go through an earpiece.

I agree that if they choose the comps based on the HG's it's bullshit, but I think they've been trying to phase that one out for years just due to how dangerous it could be. Of course they are covered of any liability through insurance but there's still the matter of player safety. Now if next year it suddenly comes back and the OTEV has the steeper hill to climb, then we know it was done for them.

As far as anything coming out after all these years, once the following season starts, that's all in the rear view and nobody cares any longer. And if it DID come out, they have disclaimer to hide behind legally that it is NOT classified as a game show so they can help determine a desired outcome. Whether or not it happened is anyone's guess, just like Helen being pushed off the wall in BB 15. People move on to their latest outrage/conspiracy

It would not matter WHEN it happened, if it came out that they did something as blatant as telling Cory through his earpiece which way to go in order to make him win that comp, people WOULD care and social media would go crazy. And I don't care about the LEGAL ramifications of all of it, I am talking about the story coming out in a credible manor instead of just being people like you and me speculating what may or may not have happened.

Shit comes out from previous seasons all the time. Including people claiming shot like they only did so and so becasue production told them that they had to. The usual response to it is thembeing told that they are only coming forward because they are trying to stay relevant. It would have to be a ptty big and damning piee of evidencwe for it to blow up. And someone who was in production is not going to do it. They would be labeled as "some rando on the internet"

Well Ctown, that little glimpse of the HOH comp for Johnny Mac demented dentist looks like you may have called it when you said the McGyver type thing where they might have to find or do a few things throughout various rooms. Don't know who this may or may not favor, but I have to think that since it is not a crapshoot or straight up mental questions type comp we won't be seeing Cirie or Felicia as the HOH.

I did wonder if maybe they would have the one where they have to go through the room in the dark trying to avoid the laser lights or something, but it is basically the same premise as the McGyver, but if there is an agility aspect to it, that might work against Matt with his height and I wonder if you would have to HEAR a buzzer or something when hitting a laser light, so maybe not. Blue and America being a bit more slight might have a bit of an advantage, but Jag is also pretty agile. I think Bowie might even actually go for it since they have some clear cut targets and plans, but I don't know about her balance or agility at all.

Well I still haven't seen anything where they talk about what it was, but that preview shot to me looked like the one where they have to hold down buttons to keep time going slow while they remove whatever stupid outfit they have to wear. I guess we'll find out Sunday. But we know now that Jag won it

The only thing I have heard them talking about are pictures of past hg's like Rachel and Paul, and something about counting their teeth or something. That doesn't really clear ANYTHING up. Oh and America said it was a brand new comp.

It is about time to have a physical HOH which I HOPE FORCES Matt to win it because the physical comps bring out his competitive side. And NO I don't want to see slip n slide because it won't be on the feeds and that would really piss me off for sure. I am thinking maybe the ready, set, go with the buttons.

If they don't have a physical HOH, then I want to Cirie fall into one. I am guessing she would put up Felicia and Bowie (telling Felicia and Bowie she can't put up Matt or Jag until after veto. Now if Bowie wins veto, she will obviously put up Jag and the voters are Matt and Bowie. Cirie will be all over Matt to take out Jag, but will he go for that like she thinks he will? I don't see Bowie going along with it obviously because she is loyal to the boys first and foremost and hasn't waivered from that, so it would have to be 100% Cirie and Matt taking out Jag, and I would be shocked to see Matt do it, but I could be wrong.

Now if she tries to be bold and puts up Matt and Jag, then I hope Bowie wins veto and takes Jag off the block and Felicia goes up and out to jury, but Cirie's game is basically over at that point unless she can pull off the veto in the next round.

They really need to do something to even the playing field for these comps. Females won a total of 4 HoH's and 1 veto. The only HoH that could be considered physical is the first one where Reilly won on the balance beam and the veto that was won was just a guessing game. This much variance is not coincidence and makes it very obvious that these comps favor the males who play. None of them are that much more physically imposing than the others so something has to give there. I do think casting played a certain role in it this season and the only one that would gun for it each week was Reilly

The problem is that the females in this game didn't want to win for most of the season, not that they weren't able to win. And things like the wall or hanging on the discs and things like that can be won by girls who have some physical strength. Bowie couldn't do that one because she can't handle the circular motion, something about some trauma at an amusement park when young that was really bad and she avoided things like that most of her life. She said she can do a big carousel at an amusement part, but even that bothers her a bit.

I think they need to make the penalties for NOT winning stronger. Instead of this volunteer bullshit for have-nots, make it the first 3 out of the comp, regardless of whether or not they were a have-not the week before. Maybe put a cap on 2 weeks or something I guess, or just give other penalties like costumes or the stuff that Cirie did with the phone booth and stuff. Make people play the damn comps and make some decisions.

I have a better idea rather than first however many out. For each one of the comps that involve being knocked out of it, as soon as you are knocked out, you pick a numbered envelope based on where you dropped. That envelope stays sealed until the competition is over. Once it's over they open the envelope to reveal the contents. No rewards are in any of them, they are ALL punishments. Have-nots for the week. Cannot play in veto. you get the idea. Because they don't know what each envelope contains, they won't know where to drop. This discourages people from throwing comps. Maybe even go extreme with some of the punishments like can't play in next HoH. Just always mix up what the punishments will be and what envelope they'll be located in.
